Inaugural webinar of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav – Celebrating 75th years of Independence
“Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” committee organized a webinar as inaugural event on 29 July, 2021 from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM via online platform Zoom also streamed live on YouTube.
The Principal Dr. Raj Bhardwaj, inaugurated the webinar motiving all with her speech full of energy and vigor for nationalism. She also recited the famous lines “जो भरा नहीं है भावों से, बहती जिसमें रसधार नहीं , वह हृदय नहीं है पत्थर है ,जिसमें स्वदेश का प्यार नहीं ।” to energies audience.
The chief guest for the event was Prof. Balram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi. He emphasized that first respect yourself than only others will respect you. He also said that we should be proud of our nation as we are here safe, secured and have freedom of expression.
Special guest for the event Mr. Dharamveer Sharma, National Secretary, Loktantra Senani Sangh, said that we carry the legacy of ancient legend Bharat Raja and Lord Ram. They have set principles of life, and established dharma. He also remembered the mantra
“ॐ सह नाववतु ।सह नौ भुनक्तु ।सह वीर्यं करवावहै ।तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥“
for wellbeing of all. He further said that as now we are progressing after 500 years of slavery, our goal should be pollution-free, and corruption-free India. He also emphasized that our mission should be to save water among others.
Mr. Anoop Gupta, Chairman Governing Body, Bhagini Nivedita College also addressed the gathering and said that one should celebrate Independence Day with pride and should be motivated to render social service for the welfare of the nation.
Nodal officer Dr. Hemvati Sharma said that it should be our first duty to live life in action and safeguard our independence. She concluded the event by reciting lines – “ प्रभु ने दो दो कर दिए, करी कमाई आप । पराधीनता सम नहीं और दूसरा पाप ।“
The program ended with vote of thanks to invited guests, speakers and audience. It was wonderful session and everyone was filled with joy and feeling of nationalism.
